When a Voice Finally Finds the Air

There are moments in life when something that has been quietly forming inside of you finally asks to take shape in the world.
Not loudly. Not all at once. But with a kind of steady knowing.
For me, that moment arrived this winter with the birth of my podcast, Spirit and Scrutiny.
For years I have lived inside the questions that sit at the crossroads of spirit and reality...you know...the space where devotion meets discernment, and where belief is asked to walk alongside experience.
My life has been shaped by both the mystical and the deeply human.
Moments of profound spiritual connection…and moments where I had to learn, sometimes painfully, how to question what I was being told — by teachers, by systems, and even by my own hopes.
The deeper I walked this path, the clearer it became that spirituality without discernment can become dangerous territory.
But skepticism without openness can close the door to the mystery that makes life meaningful.
Somewhere between those two forces is a place I now call home.
And it is from that place that Spirit and Scrutiny was born.
This podcast is not about having the answers.
It is about holding the questions with honesty.
It is about exploring spirituality while keeping our feet on the ground. It is about learning how to trust the quiet intelligence of our own bodies and experiences.
In the first episode — At the Crossroads: Where Spirit Meets Scrutiny — I share the story of my own awakening and the moment that shifted how I approach spiritual practice entirely.
It is a story about trust. About learning to listen more deeply. And about reclaiming our own authority on the path.
This podcast is an invitation.
An invitation to think. To question. To feel.
To explore spirituality in a way that honours both the unseen world and the reality of the one we are living in.
As this new chapter unfolds, I’m also returning to another form of practice that has always been close to my heart — teaching yoga and breathwork in community again this spring. (& no you're not dreaming I just recently returned to seeing clients privately, 1:1, for breathwork, reiki, and yoga too.)
It feels fitting that these two expressions are emerging together:conversation and embodiment.
Voice and breath.

If you feel called to listen, you can find Spirit and Scrutiny exclusive to Spotify for the moment. Spirit and Scrutiny Podcast also has it's on instagram @spiritandscrutinypodcast, where you will see the visual stories that are photo and videograph's of my lived expierences that supported the birthing of the podcast.
And if these reflections resonate with you, I hope you’ll walk alongside me in the conversations that are just beginning.

This is only the first step.
